The First Step Filmmaker course is set to begin in Catonsville next month.
Root Studio is the organizer and host of this educational event. The organization’s mission is to help individuals foster their creative growth in endeavors such as writing, filmmaking, photography, art, and music. Root Studios often hosts workshops among these various disciplines for children and adults to expand their creative abilities.
Jerry J. Cunningham will lead this informative four-day Catonsville course. Each day will focus on a specific topic. Session one will begin with how to capture a compelling story, then session two will explore necessary tools, making the right decisions, and working with sound. Session three will discuss an analysis of filmmaking. The fourth and final session will be about cooperating with actors, working with scripts, and filming at festivals.
The organizers of informative events frequently include brochure printing in their organization plans to provide participants with detailed printed resources.
Anyone aged 15 and older can sign up for this course online at $165 per individual. A parent or guardian may email Root Studio to request an exception to the age limit.
The course is scheduled to take place at The Baltimore County Arts Guild and The Woman’s Clubhouse for four consecutive Sundays from February 21, to March 14 at 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on each day.
