Catonsville program gives veterans their say

A Catonsville veterans-led project is seeking participation from former military members, and this free initiative runs for six weeks.

The organizers of the Let Vets Speak Project have put out a call to all veterans from the various branches of service to share their experiences. The organizers have aimed to make the application system simple, and there are six dates scheduled for the program.

Each veteran will prepare their own original pieces to present, which will be either spoken word or storytelling in nature. These will then be presented to an invited audience of members from the local community. This will take place at Fireside Room located at 1905 Edmondson Avenue, and it is intended to help former military members reintegrate into life on “civvy street,” while also showing they have the support of their neighbors.

An event that includes a presentation or discussion often includes distributing programs that provide more details about the presenter and the topic. These can be prepared by local Stationery printers.

The first meeting of the Let Vets Speak series is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1, and it will start at 7:00 pm. The public performance will be held on Tuesday, May 6, and any veterans interested in getting involved can contact the organizers by visiting the link provided on the Let Vets Speak website.
