Many people are discovering the joys of going native when it comes to choosing plants for their garden, and a Catonsville area sale will make it easier for local green thumbs.
Dubbed Native Plant Palooza, the pop-up market that will be hosted at the Robinson Nature Center will be open to all ages. Admission is free, and as each vendor will be making a donation to the facility, the function will help the area learn more about the world around them.
Plants on offer include a wide selection of perennials, groundcovers, shrubs, and trees, and there will also be options for those who would like to grow their own food. These tend to perform well in local growing conditions and microclimates, and have adapted to withstand its pests and diseases. They also often attract butterflies, birds, moths, and other pollinators.
A pop-up plant sale may attract quite a crowd, and Print shops can supply everything from Packaging supplies and plant care sheets to T-Shirts and name tags for any volunteers who lend a hand. They can also prepare small Corporate Gifts to present to each helper to thank them for their hard work.
The 2022 Native Plant Palooza will be popping up at 6692 Cedar Lane in Columbia on May 1. The doors will open at 12:00 pm, and everyone is welcome to show their support for this area activity.
