Catonsville pickle fans will soon be puckering up at a festival that will put sweet, sour, and spicy versions of these popular condiments front and center.
The annual Big Dill Pickle Festival is on the community's agenda for this coming September, and is scheduled to take place at the Power Plant Live! All ages are welcome to join the fun, and it is expected that tickets for the festivities will sell out in advance.
The plans for the two days will feature pickles in a variety of styles, and everyone can sample a selection of them supplied by at least 10 different artisan condiment companies. Everyone can vote for their favorite, and a stage will be set up that will feature live entertainment in several genres. A pickle eating competition is on the agenda, and those who really want to put their stomach to the test can try their luck in the Brine Chug Challenge.
