Catonsville historic site to celebrate special day

The 18th Century is about to come to life in Catonsville, and both visitors and community residents alike are invited to join in the fun of the Colonial Market Fair.

The staff and volunteers at Benjamin Banneker Historical Park and Museum will be taking the public for a step back in time to the 1700s. It will offer both learning and fun for all ages, and while admission is free, donations will be highly appreciated.

The plans for the day will see costumed reenactors strolling the site, and there will also be artisans performing their craft. Singers and other entertainers will be on hand, and there will be special activities on offer just for the kids. The site's trails will be open to explore, and the museum’s permanent exhibits will provide even greater insight into the lives of the families who occupied the location in the past.

A call has been put out to the area looking for community members who would like to get involved by volunteering for the day. Many not-for-profit organizations choose to order specially designed Corporate Gifts to distribute to those who assist.

Benjamin Banneker Park has made arrangements to host its Colonial Market Fair on June 11. It will be open to the public from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm, and the venue is located at 300 Oella Avenue.
