A Catonsville historic site has cordially invited one and all to attend a celebration that will bring the 18th Century to life.
The Colonial Market Fair will be taking over Banneker Historical Park and Museum for a weekend this June, and admission to the venue will be free of charge. Donations will be accepted for parking, with a suggested amount of $5.
The function will offer families a chance to take a step back in time to the 1700s, and they will be able to see a variety of artisans in action. It will be a hands-on experience, with the visitors being able to try out some of the techniques on display. The hiking trails and 18th-Century-style gardens will be open, and everyone can enjoy the fun photo ops on offer when they try on the colonial clothing available.
Re-enactments give the public an opportunity to learn about their hometown’s past, and they can provide a great deal of entertainment for everyone who gets involved. A printer will be able to offer an assortment of Corporate Gifts to present to the volunteers who help to make these functions a success.
The dates for this year's Colonial Market Fair will be Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12. The location for the celebration will be 300 Oella Avenue in Catonsville.
