Seekonk turns to online platform for permits and licenses
The town of Seekonk has partnered with OpenGov, a company that provides licensing and permitting software for local governments throughout the country, to provide a modern and improved experience for users.
Seekonk has been looking for some time for a new digital services platform that would offer a single, unifying management system for documents and offer more time-saving workflows. The Permitting and Licensing software from OpenGov will help to manage a variety of application types efficiently and to process permits four to five times faster than the town does now.
Among the benefits of the new platform will be faster turnaround times and improved customer service, enhanced public-facing and internal communication, and online services available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The software also offers an integrated online payment system and in-field update capability that will help to streamline the licensing and permitting processes in the town.
When such new online platforms are introduced in a town, the local government might turn to local print shops to create flyers and brochures with more information about these platforms and their benefits for the community.
