Seekonk sees appointment of new police chief

A new police chief has been appointed in Seekonk.

David Enos, deputy chief of the Seekonk Fire Department since 2019, has been promoted to chief of the department. He has worked for the department for the past 19 years.

News of such appointments is often disseminated throughout the community with posting printing and other printing services.

Shawn Cadime, town administrator, said that Enos has a great understanding of the department and the community and demonstrated outstanding leadership during some exceedingly difficult times. Cadime added that he has experienced many changes in the organization and pursued various professional development activities. Cadime commented that Enos has invested in himself and the town, and has had a significant impact on the management and operations of the department.

Dean Isabella was hired as police chief in 2020 with his contract set to expire in December of this year, but his contract was rescinded early by the Board. Chairperson of the Board of Selectmen, Justin Sullivan, said that the police officers of Seekonk are to be commended for their show of professionalism during a challenging time.

Sullivan went on to say that making these decisions and changes was not easy, but that the Board does its best to listen to the concerns of the citizens of Seekonk, as well as to the employees of the town.
