Volleyball try-out date set for Alpharetta athletes

The Alpharetta High School volleyball team's try-outs have been announced, and aspiring team members will want to prepare their gear and start stretching to display their skills.

The 2024 AHS Jr. Raider Volleyball Tryouts will commence in a few weeks. These will allow local athletes to display their knowledge and skills to determine who will make the 2024 team. Parents will need to collect their children’s information and submit it so the child can participate.

The documents needed to participate in the try-outs include a current physical, which a doctor will complete upon check-in at the event. Student athletes will be barred from practicing or playing without a physical on file. All individuals trying out for the team will need to wear athletic apparel for comfort and mobility. Flyer printing is one of the top methods to spread the word about athletic try-outs like this in school and around the community.

Volleyball shoes and kneepads are recommended for athletes, though not required for participation. Players must also bring a water bottle to ensure hydration. The try-outs will start after the check-in period and will be followed by a cool-down session.

The auxiliary gymnasium at Alpharetta High School will host the volleyball try-outs on Wednesday, August 7, starting at 6:00 PM. Registration costs $40 per athlete, and parents can make reservations online.
