Residents of Alpharetta this summer will have a chance to enjoy a free series of concerts.
Although the concerts have already started, they will continue until late September. The upcoming ones feature not only music but also a performance from a group based in Alpharetta.
The performances will be held in Brooke Street Park. There is no seating, so bringing a blanket is advised. Attendees are also encouraged to bring a picnic. The events are all advertised as being free, family-friendly, and live.
The theatrical performances are put on by Act 1, which is a local group in Alpharetta. They perform varied pieces, from classics like ‘Guys and Dolls’, to Shakespeare, to more original performances. The other performance in July is put on by Home By Dark, a concert series that has been ongoing since 2007. The series invites some of the best songwriters and musicians in the country to share their music with crowds, and will include two guest stars: Nathan Angelo and Georgia Middleman. Angelo is a soulful-pop indie singer and songwriter, while Middleman is a known songwriter, and has written for Keith Urban.
Alpharetta will likely have a good turnout for both events, and may have to take advantage of banner printing to let people in the area know about what is happening. The July schedule ison the Saturdays of July 14 and 28; the theatrical performance will be on July 14, while the Home By Dark concert will be on July 28.
