A top-selling artist from Walt Disney World is preparing for a stop in Alpharetta next month to create custom, hand-cut silhouette portraits for area residents.
Edward Casey, a renowned silhouette artist who made his career working for Disney, is set to create lasting pieces of art for Alpharetta families. Viewed as one of the best in the industry, Casey will provide a unique opportunity to get a meaningful piece that displays his eye for detail when capturing the subject.
The silhouettes are cut using only scissors in a freehand method, with the process taking only minutes despite not using machinery or other equipment. Casey attributes his skills with scissors and silhouettes to his nearly 50 years of industry experience. Printing services are invaluable when wanting to make copies of the finished silhouette pieces after such events.
The finished pieces make ideal gifts for friends, family, and grandparents. Edward Casey is capable of creating pieces for children, pets, and other family members to add to their collection of heirlooms. Framing will be available to add the perfect finishing touch to the piece. There is no age limit, and all interested parties can attend.
The sitting sessions will be held at Swoozie’s on Sunday, November 17th, with the doors opening at 1:00 PM and Casey closing shop at 4:00 PM. Reservations cost $10 and can be made online.
