At the beginning of February, the Alpharetta Arts Center Gallery will open a new exhibit entitled "Down Home on the Farm". This exhibit was created in partnership with Arts Alpharetta.
The non-profit Arts Alpharetta is a collective group of artists and art lovers who seek to nurture and grow the scene in Alpharetta enough to make it a destination for cultural arts. The group does this by forming strategic partnerships with local businesses and promoting artists and the artwork that they create. One of its partnerships is with the City of Alpharetta Recreation Parks and Cultural Services Department.
As well as holding galleries, the Alpharetta Arts Center also has areas for indoor and outdoor events and a black box recording studio. In addition, it holds several art studios suited to a wide variety of art media. These include spaces for clay, painting, and digital media. The center hosts several art classes throughout the year catering to all ages and every skill level, meaning it is frequented by everyone from art and graphic design novices to experts.
The "Down Home on the Farm" exhibit will open on February 1 and close on March 18. On February 4, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at 238 Canton Street, there will be a reception to welcome the gallery. This will feature light food, music, and beverages.
