Musical version of Christmas film comes to Alpharetta

The Act1 Theater in Alpharetta will perform the Broadway musical version of the 1983 beloved Christmas film classic, A Christmas Story. As the play is for all ages, this can be an activity the whole family will enjoy.

The musical follows much of the same plot as the original film, where a radio disc jockey narrates a story of one Christmas he had as a kid in the 1940s. The audience witnesses this story through the eyes of a young boy named Ralphie, who does what he can to get the toy that he wants most for Christmas – a Red Ryder B B Gun. Unfortunately, he faces several obstacles in his pursuit, which results in some hilarious situations.

Act1 Theater provides drama education and entertaining theatrical experiences with the help of its all-volunteer staff. It is headquartered at the Alpharetta Presbyterian Church and provides a joyful and supportive environment. It has helped its participants grow and work together for more than 25 years.

A Christmas Story: The Musical will be performed on December 2, from 8:00 to 10:30 pm at 180 Academy Street. A link to the ticket page can be found on the Act1 Theater Facebook page.
