Local food event reaches 29th year

This year marks the 29th year of Taste of Alpharetta. This event focuses on the cuisine of downtown Alpharetta, as the name implies.

The event will feature dishes from over 60 restaurants, all of which will be accepting tickets for food only. Tickets can be purchased on site, and will be 50 cents each. The food samples available during the event will cost between $1 and $4 each, and restaurants will only accept tickets in exchange.

During the event, there will also be live cooking demonstrations. Restaurants may have special tastings for the event, or items not generally on their Menus. Some chefs and restaurants may also collaborate to bring a unique new item to the event.

There will be multiple parking lots available for the duration of the event. One is close enough to walk from – the City Hall Parking Deck. The other parking lots, near Wills Park, will have a park and ride shuttle service. The shuttle will be running approximately every 20 minutes from 5:00 to 10:00 pm during the event.

Events of this nature often benefit from printing services. Many tasting booths may have Banners up advertising their wares, or there may be informational sheets for attendees to peruse. In addition, some vendors may have Business Cards with them to hand out.

This event is currently scheduled for Thursday, May 2.
