Owners of startups and other small businesses who wish to learn more about doing their own accounting are welcome to take part in a session that will give them a set of tools they can use to do just that.
Matthew May will be facilitating the DIY Accounting workshop, which will teach the fundamentals of basic accounting, including how to generate useful reports, different types of technology that can use to help keep the Books balanced, and other resources that they can use. At the conclusion of the instruction, there will be a question and answer session, which will provide further information. Mr. May founded Acuity.co and is one of its managing partners.
The event is being organized by Digital Ignition, which is an incubator for digital media and early stage technology startups. Booklet printing can be used to produce informational handouts and other materials for distribution during a training session such as this.
The DIY Accounting seminar will be held on October 26 from 8:30 am until 9:30 am at Digital Ignition, which is located at 190 Bluegrass Valley Parkway in Alpharetta. There is no charge to those who would like to take part, but as seating is limited, the organizers suggest that those who are considering participating register their interest early.
