Cornhole tournament to take place in Alpharetta

The seven-week Cornhole League is scheduled to begin in Alpharetta next month.

Sponsored by Jekyll Brewing, the games will be hosted at Alpharetta Avalon. Four divisions will be involved in the tournament: beginner, intermediate, intermediate plus, and advanced. Beginners are players who can hit the board once or twice with four Bags. Intermediate players are defined as being able to get some bags into the hole and regularly hit the board. Intermediate plus classifies players who are more skilled than intermediate but not quite advanced, while advanced players are those who can get four bags into the hole or onto the board.

Each of the teams from beginners to advanced will play a best of three sets that are scored up to 21.

All Alpharetta players must be 21 years of age or older in order to register. Sign-up fees for beginner, intermediate, intermediate plus, and advanced divisions are priced at $47 for an early bird fee, $52 for the regular fee, and $75 for last-minute registration. Flyer printing is frequently utilized by sport organizers to provide players with game information and rules.

This Tuesday evening sporting event is scheduled to take place once per week from Tuesday, September 1 to Tuesday, October 20. Games will begin at varying times, including 6:45 pm, 7:30 pm, and 8:15 pm.
