Alpharetta to host laid-back New Years Eve

The Publix Aprons Cooking School in Alpharetta is hosting a New Year’s Eve class.

This low-key event is only for those 18 year of age or older. As this is a demonstration-style cooking class, attendees can just sit back, relax, and leave the cooking to the chefs. Cooking class members will have the opportunity to ask questions while the experts walk them through each recipe a step at a time.

The New Year’s Eve menu will include “Rockefeller-Style” deep-fried oysters resting on a bed of smoked ham hock collard greens, whipped hot honey butter with cornbread and Hoppin’ John soup; and a selection of dessert including champagne-poached pears with pistachios and chocolate crème anglaise.

Reservations are on a strictly first-come, first-served basis. Full payment at the time of registration is required for all classes. Cancellations must be 72 hours prior to the class in order to receive a refund. The price includes demonstrations of all recipes, and samples of the food after it is prepared.

For the majority of evening classes, wine is provided to those age 21 or older.

The Publix Aprons Cooking School New Year’s Eve class is from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm at 4305 State Bridge Road in Alpharetta.
