The Telugu Association of Metro Atlanta (TAMA) will host its first 5K event close to Alpharetta.
The TAMA has organized the 5K walk to support its free clinic. Since 2013, the TAMA free clinic has provided basic medical care to parents and seniors who are visiting their children in the community and do not have sufficient insurance coverage for healthcare at conventional facilities. At the clinic, patients can receive general health checkups, diabetes tests, blood pressure tests, and prescriptions for common, mild health issues.
Alpharetta locals who wish to take part in the 5K can register online at $20 per adult and $10 per child five to 17 years of age before May 10. Registration fees after May 10 will be priced at $30 per adult and $20 per child. All proceeds from the 5K walk will help fund the continuation of TAMA’s free clinic. Organizers of such events often use poster printing to create concise, informative advertisements that capture the attention of interested individuals.
The course will wind through the scenic outdoors of Newton Park in Johns Creek, and food and water will be provided for all event participants.
TAMA’s 5k free clinic walk is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 14. Packet pickups will begin at 8:00 am on the day of the event.
