Alpharetta will be greeting this year’s holiday season with an event that offers something for the young and the young at heart.
The city’s Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony will see the living 45-foot-tall spruce tree lit by more than 10,000 twinkling white lights. Along with this, there will be a chance for the little ones to visit with both Santa and Mrs. Claus, performances on the community stage to enjoy, a Christmas Farmers’ Market, a snow playground where the kids can have fun in the winter weather, and much more.
Mayor Belle Isle and family will be performing a reading of the traditional holiday favorite ‘Twas the Night before Christmas for the crowd.
Food trucks serving hot snacks and drinks will be on hand, and there is also an assortment of nearby restaurants to try. A company that supplies printing services will be able to provide everything from colorful holiday Banners to coloring Books, Signs, and more for an event like this.
The festivities have been scheduled for December 3 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm in Downtown Alpharetta.
