Alpharetta gets ready for Independence Day celebrations

Alpharetta will hold a celebration for the 4th of July in Wills Park. This celebration will essentially be three in one, with family-friendly activities, food, music, and fireworks.

There will be a number of food trucks in attendance as well as food vendors. There will be a wide selection available, ranging from hot dogs and hamburgers, to barbeque and desserts. While many of the food vendors accept card, some may only accept cash.

Parking will be available in surrounding lots, including at the Alpharetta Community Center, Wills Park Recreation Center, and others. Lots will close as they fill. Attendees should be aware that charcoal grills are prohibited, and tobacco and alcohol are not allowed in the park.

The fireworks show will take place that night, rain or shine. Personal fireworks will not be allowed, and pets must be kept on leashes.

The celebration is free and open to the public, and will begin at 6:00 pm. Events of this type often use banner printing to make the location more easily visible. Attendees are encouraged to bring a water bottle, blanket, bug spray, and a flashlight, as these items may be helpful during the event. There will be a DJ controlling the music throughout the evening.

This event will be held on Thursday, July 4, beginning at 6:00 pm. Attendees are advised that if there is inclement weather, certain activities may be cancelled or postponed.
