A special event in support of horses who need a loving place to call home will be held in Alpharetta, and local riders have been invited to come out and enjoy an equine-themed day of fun.
Save the Horses is a registered charity that provides a “forever home” to equines that are old, ill, or have behavioral issues. They will be able to live out their lives at the shelter, as it is a no kill facility.
The Charity Horse Show will give both Western and hunter-style riders a chance to perform, and those at all levels of riding abilities are invited to join in the day, along with their friends and families. It will offer friendly competition, and the proceeds will benefit the 130 horses that are being helped by the organizers of the day. Banners and other decorations for this type of function can be designed and produced by an area printing services provider.
The planners of the day’s activities noted that they are being held in memory of Trudy, who was an abused mare that the group cared for and encouraged to learn to trust people again. Any local vendors or businesses that would like to lend their support to the fundraiser are welcome to do so, and their assistance will be most appreciated.
June 10 has been chosen as the date for this special event, and it will be held at Wills Equestrian Park in Alpharetta. More details can be found on the Save the Horses website.
