This year, Matilda’s will be hosting Music Under the Pines in their outdoor area. This concert series features different styles of music, and the summer season will be ending with a performance by a band named Surrender Hill.
Surrender Hill is classified as a country rock duo and comprises a husband and wife, Robin Dean Salmon and Afton Seekins. The duo travels across the world for tours, and are known for their distinctive nod to America’s roots as well as the world in general.
Matilda’s is located on Hickory Flat Road in Milton, about an eight-mile drive from Alpharetta. Parking is available on site; on the day of the concert, there will be people directing traffic to the correct parking areas. There are tables and chairs at the venue, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own if they can, as the venue may run out.
Attendees are also encouraged to take their own food and drink to the event. Wine and beer are allowed, and coolers are permitted at this venue. Talking during the music is highly discouraged, although attendees can move away from the stage if they do wish to have a conversation, so they do not disturb other guests.
Tickets are available for $27 per person. The venue will open at 7:30 pm, and the music will start at 8:30 pm and go until about 10:30 pm. This type of event often uses banner printing to display a piece behind the band or on the street-side of the building. This concert is scheduled for tomorrow, July 20.
