Independence Day is coming up again quickly, and there are two events that will ensure Pompano Beach residents have a fun day.
The first celebration will take place in nearby Deerfield Beach, and is presented by the Parks and Recreation Department. There will be a variety of vendors on hand to sell arts and crafts, food, and general merchandise. Some 10 x 10-foot booths are still available for rental; fees are $175 for arts and crafts, $250 for business, and $100 for nonprofit organizations.
The day will also be filled with musical entertainment by artists such as Packrat’s Smokehouse, Big Harvest, and Tramps Like Us (a Bruce Springsteen tribute band).
After spending the early afternoon at this event, visitors can take a short trip back to Pompano Beach to watch the Fireworks Extravaganza. The evening will start with performances by the Jamie Mitchell Band and the Speakerbox Band. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets to enjoy the entertainment and then to watch the fireworks display at 9:00 PM.
