Pompano Beach to hold thrilling fishing tourney

A fishing competition will be coming to Pompano Beach this August, hosted by Bluewater Movements, Inc.

Saltwater Showdown 2020 is the third leg of the Pompano Beach Saltwater Circuit (PBSC). The PBSC is an annual three-leg tournament trail that lasts from May to August, inviting skilled teams of fishers to catch fish like tuna, wahoo, and cobia. This year will have the largest payout in the history of the circuit with over $550,000 in cash and prizes. All teams who register for the tournament will be given a swag bag, T-Shirts, drinks, and complimentary food.

There will be several divisions for the event that fishers can enter, such as the team, non-pro, family, and big fish divisions. The first-place fishing team for the competition will win $10,000 and a trophy, though all teams who place 10th and higher will also receive money for their accomplishment. Whoever catches the heaviest fish during the tourney will receive a gift card from Grizzly Coolers for $1,000. Fishing competitions like this can work with Print shops to produce ads like Posters for the event.

The Saltwater Showdown will begin on Saturday, August 15th and will end on Sunday, August 16th. The Pompano Beach Civic Center will hold a kickoff party on Thursday, August 13th. People can register for the event before July 31st for $401.25. Those who register after the 31st will need to pay $508.25 instead.
