A nature-themed photography exhibit will have an opening reception this November at the Bailey Contemporary Arts Center in Pompano Beach.
Twenty Thousand Miles of Photographs for Tempor is a collection of pictures taken by Scott Cartwright, and his spouse, Jenny Lynn Weitz Amaré-Cartwright. The photographs were shot during the couple’s journey through North America, featuring original film photography about topics such as history and immigration. The exhibit invites the viewer to delve into different fields and encourages environmental awareness.
Scott Cartwright and Jenny Lynn Weitz Amaré-Cartwright are known together as Studio WAC. They produce an independent travel magazine called Tempor that gets published three times a year. A portion of the photos taken in the collection were shot while the two were gathering content for their magazine. Scott also hosts the Footnotes Podcast, which features shorthand audio notes for Tempor. Magazines like this can use poster printing for advertising at public venues, such as cafes or libraries.
The opening reception for the collection of photographs will be held on Friday, November 6th from 6pm to 11pm. There are no fees to attend the reception, though guests must register. Registration for the event will open on September 28th at 5:45am. The exhibit will be held in the central and east galleries at the Bailey Contemporary Arts Center.
