Billed as the largest festival on the Southeastern Coast, the Pompano Beach Brazilian Festival will be held at Pompano Community Park in just a few weeks.
The event has musical entertainment, a sports park, food vendors, a kids’ zone, art, games, and a bounce house.
The festival is sponsored by the Vista Motor Company, and is expected to attract about 20,000 people. Musical performances this year represent all regions of Brazil.
Performers include Latin Grammy Award-winning singer Elba Ramalho. There is an eight-person reggae band called Chimarruts taking to the stage with special guest James McWhinney, who used to be with Big Mountain.
Other musicians performing are Don & Juan (a Brazilian country duo) and Marcelo D2 (a hip-hop artist). The main stage will have art by Valter De Morais, whose style is cubism and pop art.
The festival will have a talent show, gospel music, samba dancers, acrobats, and an awards ceremony. Pompano Beach has Print shops that design Promotional Products for festivals like this.
There will be a variety of food vendors serving traditional Brazilian, Mexican, Greek, Indian, and BBQ dishes. It has a special area for children too, with games and kid-friendlyl activities.
The Pompano Beach Brazilian Festival takes place on October 20 from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm and October 21 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. The park is located at 820 NE 18 Ave.
