The Guild in Pompano Beach will be offering a course this December that teaches students the basics of blacksmithing.
The Winter Break Beginner Blacksmith Day Camp is a five-day class where attendees can learn more about the process of forging. The camp will go over safety guidelines for working in a metal workshop, proper hammer and forging techniques, and basic metallurgy. Students will get to complete independent blacksmith projects during the course. There is no prior metalworking experience required to sign up for the camp.
The Guild is an arts and crafts organization that teaches people about industrial and urban crafts skills. The school offers several kinds of artistic workshops, such as teaching students about working with leather and how to make soap. Other skills taught by the organization include ceramics, jewelry making, and glass working. Educational facilities like this can use brochure printing to provide interested customers with information about available classes.
The blacksmithing day camp will be held from Monday, December 28 to Friday, January 1. Each session will start at 9:00 am and will end at noon. The course will be open for students between the ages of 12 and 17, and the price will be $450 per child. Upcoming classes that are offered by The Guild can be viewed by checking out the organization’s event calendar on Facebook.
