The Greater Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce is presenting its annual Pineapple Jamboree at the end of this month.
The event celebrates the history of Pompano Beach, where pineapple fields were plentiful up until the mid-1940s. Guests at the Jamboree will be treated to food provided by Bobby Rabino's, and will also be able to purchase pineapple cocktails, Jell-O shots, beer, and wine. Entertainment is set to include a live band, and there will be an open fire pit for toasting marshmallows and fresh pineapple. In addition, pineapple plantings will take place during the day so that attendees can learn about the agricultural side of the tropical fruit.
With this also being a networking opportunity for business leaders, there will no doubt be plenty of chances to talk business over a drink or while sitting around the fire pit.
Pompano Beach printing companies may find an increase in business card printing orders leading up to the Jamboree. Those planning to attend will want to make sure that they have enough cards to hand out and that they are up to date.
