A boat excursion and scuba experience is being planned for former military personnel in the Pompano Beach area, and area veterans are encouraged to register.
The Veterans Boat Excursion is scheduled to embark in a few weeks, and area veterans are welcome to register for fun in the sun and exploration of the Atlantic. The event is open to U.S. military veterans with an existing scuba certification. VA Adaptive Sports Group is planning the excursion, co-sponsored by the Aquanauts Scuba Academy.
The event organizer is aiming to bring disabled veterans to the excursion. Prior experience in a pool is ideal for the optimal experience. Veterans who are not scuba certified can enroll in the Discover Scuba Experience a month before the excursion embarks. Brochure printing is a fantastic way to provide interested parties with more information about such events.
Limited spaces are available, and interested parties are encouraged to register while spaces remain. The boat seat is free, but participants will be invoiced for additional equipment. Complete gear and tanks cost $75 plus tax, while partial gear costs $45.
Divers will meet at Parrot Island Scuba Charters at 7:30 am on Thursday, July 4. Attendees will receive the invoice for gear rentals after registration has taken place. Interested parties can register for the excursion online for free.
