Young football players will want to dust off their cleats and start stretching, as a youth flag football tournament is being organized near Pompano Beach.
The BAC2BASIC 4th Annual Flag Football Tournament, organized by Coach Terry, is preparing to kick off next month, bringing the community together to watch young people display their skills and compete for prizes. The tournament is an ideal setting for participants to improve their game and go head-to-head with friends.
The tournament will feature several age divisions, running from 10U up to 13U, with co-ed options also available for an inclusive experience. The coaches will select the players, and the competition will feature a two-bracket format. Banner printing is a bold and colorful way to promote such tournaments, welcoming spectators and athletes to the host site.
Games will use a 45-minute running clock. Defenses will receive one blitz opportunity per set of downs, and offenses will have one run. Quarterbacks have four seconds to make a decision on a target and release a pass.
Winners will receive trophies for their efforts, with the second-, third-, and fourth-placed teams also receiving medals. Jerseys are included with the registration price.
The tournament will be held at the Margate Sports Complex in neighboring Margate. It is set for Saturday, July 12th, from noon to 6:00 PM. Registration is $100 per athlete online.
