The 5th annual Colors of the Caribbean festival is taking place next month in nearby Hollywood, presented by Caribbean American Heritage Florid, Inc.
Offering a way to spend the Saturday of Father’s Day weekend, there will be Caribbean folk dancing and musical performances. Among those that are scheduled to appear at this year’s festival are Alison Hinds, Queen Omega, Red Rat, and LL Cool Blaze, while the emcee will be Neki Mohan.
The Caribbean Food Village will have lots of traditional dishes and beverages for sale. Arts and crafts vendors will be on hand to sell a variety of handmade items such as jewelry, clothing, prints, and decorative accessories.
The YMCA will be hosting a Kids’ Zone with plenty of fun activities and games planned for the children. There is also set to be a travel expo that will feature information about certain holiday locations.
This festival will likely attract people from all over the area, including those from Pompano Beach. To advertise, organizers may invest in postcard printing services.
The Colors of the Caribbean festival will be held at Hollywood Arts Park on June 18 from 4:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Admission is free until 5:00 pm and $10 after. VIP tickets are available for $40 and include two drink tickets, one food ticket, and a private viewing area. To learn more, visit the official website.
