Bailey Contemporary Arts in Pompano Beach will offer holiday crafts classes and open mic night during the holiday season.
Located at 4 NE 1st St., the holiday craft classes are called Lunch with Art Sessions, and are held on Wednesday from 12:15. Free to attend, each session features a different holiday craft. Admission is on first come, first served basis.
Visitors can bring their lunch or purchase something from the Blooming Bean Coffee Roasters, located in their West Gallery. All materials are provided for classes, with. Pompano Beach Print shops often supplying the Graphic Design Services needed for such events.
Tomorrow, November 28, the theme for Art with Lunch is Holiday Paper Ornaments. Students will design holiday paper ornaments to decorate the tree or house. On December 5, the craft session is Decorate a Package Techniques, where students will learn new techniques on decorating holiday packages.
On December 12, the Lunch with Art project is Money Gift Card Wrapping. Participants learn how to decorate holiday gift cards when giving money. December 19’s theme is Mark Making, giving students the chance to learn how to make different lines and patterns used to create art on canvas or paper.
Every first and third Wednesday of the month from 8:00 to 11:00 pm, an open mic night called Lyric Lab is held. Locals take the stage to perform music, poetry, comedy, and more. Food and cocktails can be purchased too.
