The #FreeSummer Festival at the Amp is taking place at the end of the month in Pompano Beach, and is one of the many official events occurring this year that form part of the Broward 100 celebration and is presented by Pompano Beach Arts.
The festival, which is free to attend as the name suggests, will feature a variety of Latin-inspired music from bands such as the Spam Allstars and The People Upstairs. DJ SoulManJan will also be spinning some tunes to entertain the crowd, and guests can enjoy a variety of food and drinks that are available for purchase.
For the kids, there will be arts and activities in the Creativity Corner. The evening will finish off with an outdoor showing of the film ‘American Sniper’ starring Bradley Cooper, and this will be the first for the season for the Free Flicks series.
In addition, there will be a number of vendors selling food, merchandise, and arts and crafts items, such as handmade jewelry and clothing.
Some of the vendors from Pompano Beach and elsewhere may decide to invest in sign or poster printing to bring more attention to their booths.
