The 6th annual Pineapple Jamboree is taking place next month in Pompano Beach.
A presentation of the Greater Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce, the theme for this year is ‘A Taste of the Tropics’ and guests will be treated to a variety of food and drinks reminiscent of the Caribbean.
There will be locally crafted pineapple beer, unique food pairings, and rum and tequila tastings. There is set to be a Caribbean buffet featuring a special pineapple dessert. Entertainment will be provided by a steel drum band and JunkANoo dancers. There will also be games and a raffle, for which tickets are $10 each or six for $50 with the grand prize of a beach getaway; other prizes will include champagne and roses.
New this year will be the crowning of the ‘Pineapple Queen’ who will act as an ambassador in the coming year for the Chamber of Commerce and the Pineapple Jamboree.
This event is an important networking event for members of the Greater Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce and future members. No doubt the majority of those attending will be bringing along their Business Cards to exchange with their peers.
The Pineapple Jamboree will be held at the Sample McDougald House on June 8 from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 at the door. Contact Connie Davis at 954-941-2940 x205 to learn more.
