Broward County to celebrate days of yore

The Camelot Days Medieval Festival is taking place over two weekends this month in Broward County.

The festival celebrates the medieval and renaissance eras and pirates. There is an all-ages costume contest, at which the best male, female, and child receive two passes to next year's festival.

There will be music, jousting demonstrations by the New Riders of the Golden Age, magic, and performances by the Royal Chessmen. For the kids, there is a quest game, the fables and fairy tales stage, a knighting ceremony, a medieval games area, and archery. There will be games for the adults to take part in too.

Another popular part of the festival will be the artists' market, where artisans will be selling a variety of medieval-inspired items such as chain mail, painting, clothing, and replica weapons.

This event will likely attract visitors from all over the county, including nearby Pompano Beach. To help spread the word, organizers might invest in flyer printing services.

The Camelot Days Medieval Festival will be held at Topeekeegee Yugnee Park in Hollywood from November 14 to 15 and November 21 to 22 from 10:00 am - 5:30 pm each day. Admission is $12 in advance or $15 at the gate, $3 for children between the ages of 6 and 12, and $40 for an adult seasonal pass. Visit the official website for more information.
