The 3rd annual Run for the Angels event is taking place next month in Pompano Beach. It is a fundraising event for Angel Flight Southeast.
The race is a 5K and only 300 runners will be allowed to register. Fees are $25 per person and packets can be picked up at Sheltair Aviation the day before the race.
In addition to the run, local vendors will be on hand to sell a variety of merchandise, and community organizations will be providing information about their programs and services in the area. Refreshments will also be served.
One important aspect of the run will be that it will give participants a chance to get a background view of the airport and how it is run, as well as allowing runners close-up views of many of the aircrafts used in shows.
Angel Flight Southeast is an organization that provides free flights to children and adults who need medical care in far-off cities.
The packet that runners receive will no doubt contain number bibs and pledge Forms. These types of items are often provided by Pompano Beach Stationery printing firms.
