North Miami Beach residents who enjoy food fresh from the sea are encouraged to take part in this year’s Seafood Festival.
Along with freshly caught fish and other ocean treats, there will be cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs, activities for the kids, a Bahamian musical parade, the Virgin Island stilt walkers, and other live entertainment.
The star of the event will be the food, and several local eateries will be offering their best in Seafood Alley. Whole Foods Market will be presenting live cooking demonstrations. There will also be sessions held in the Stone House where the public can learn more about pairing wine with fish dishes. Custom Drinkware can be designed for use at events such as this.
While the adults enjoy sampling the best from the sea, the kids can have fun in Discovery Cove and the Lil’ Shrimp Kids Zone. There will be inflatables, a variety of activities to encourage their creative side, and also kid-friendly food on hand. Pontoon boat rides out to Chicken Key, tours of the natural area and artist Lane where local artists will have their works on display.
A courtesy bike valet will be available and there will be a shuttle bus service from satellite parking spaces throughout the area.
