While a date has yet to be finalized, the city of North Miami Beach aims to hold its annual Bike Ride in the 305, also known as Cyclovia, this year.
The three-mile community ride will see riders travel along scenic Snake Creek Canal, described as “a destination biking trail in the heart of NMB.” Past editions of the event have included live entertainment such as music, games, and raffles, so that both riders and spectators can enjoy themselves. The event has also featured food and informational vendor booths. Events like these typically allow local businesses and restaurants to find a new audience, sometimes using Promotional Products and Business Cards to make sure they are remembered.
The event is part of Bike 305, an initiative designed to promote bicycling and other activity in the Miami metro area. Other annual rides include Bike the Wild Side, hosted at Zoo Miami, and the Biscayne-Everglades Greenway Ride between two of Florida’s national parks. Cyclovia has been championed by North Miami Beach Mayor Anthony F. DeFillipo as a way to promote community engagement and better public fitness.
This year’s edition of Cyclovia was originally scheduled for March 15, but due to public health concerns has been postponed to a later date. The ride is set to begin and end at North Miami Beach City Hall.
