North Miami Beach to hold new job fair

The municipal government of North Miami Beach and the Economic Development Committee will present their first job fair later this month.

The fair will give local jobseekers the chance to interact one-on-one with recruiters and managers from local businesses and organizations. Organizers have promised that hundreds of jobs will be available, including immediate hires and both entry-level and management jobs.

The event’s poster printing highlights the diversity of jobs on offer, featuring images of people in work outfits ranging from a suit to a hardhat, and the logos of featured Miami area employers like Census 2020, Polio Tropical, and Gold Rose Realty Inc.

The job fair has issued advice for applicants, telling them to dress professionally, as they would at a job interview, prepare an “elevator speech” that they can quickly present employees, and to bring at least ten Copies of an up-to-date résumé. Job hunters often use local Print shops for resume and business card printing. McKenzie Fleurimond, who is commissioner of the Economic Development Committee, will also be in attendance.

The inaugural North Miami Beach Job & Career Fair will take place at the Marjorie & William McDonald Center during the day of March 30. It is being advertised as “NMB 2020”, suggesting hopes that it will become an annual event in the future and spur local economic growth.
