The North Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the North Miami Beach Police department to host a golf tournament.
Money raised in this tournament will go to benefit the Police Athletic League of North Miami, an organization comprised of North Miami Beach police officers that works with the children of North Miami Beach. Specifically, the Police Athletic League hosts events and engages in a variety of pre-emptive, crime prevention initiatives.
These events include sports, trips, and a series of character building exercises. The organization also brings community members and children closer together, helping to demystify who the police are and what they do.
This joint golf tournament will serve as a day at the beautiful Miami Shores Country Club and also offer a variety of networking opportunities. Attendees should bring Business Cards in addition to their golf equipment. Local elected officials – including Mayor Piper and a variety of North Miami Beach Commissioners – will also be in attendance.
Registration for the event is required, and individuals can register with a foursome or be placed in one. The tournament is being held on Friday, April 5. A shotgun start begins at 7:00 am – 8:00 am, with a silent auction being held during lunch. Attendees are encouraged to purchase items or donate them in order to raise additional funds, and a variety of sponsorship opportunities are still available.
