A production of “Annie Jr.” will be taking place at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center this June. The performers will be the LCAP Young Artists.
The story of a spirited little redhead is being brought to life with the aid of a score by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan, Martin Charnin, and Charles Strouse.
Set in the 1930s, Annie exhibits an inspiring blend of determination and optimism, despite her humble beginnings as an orphan. She embarks on a quest to reunite with the parents who left her on the doorstep of a harsh orphanage overseen by the unkind Miss Hannigan. Through her resilience, Annie manages to outsmart Miss Hannigan’s schemes and discover a new home and family with Oliver Warbucks the billionaire, his secretary Grace Farrell, and a canine companion named Sandy.
The cost to attend the event is $15. Tickets are also available for children younger than two years old; however, these must be purchased at the Box Office, and all those attending must possess a ticket.
