Children and families in North Miami Beach and the local area are invited to celebrate the start of a new school year at Mayor Smith Joseph’s Back to School Bash and Resource Fair.
A variety of activities will be held throughout the morning and into the early afternoon. Along with displays set up by community organizations and others that provide resources to local families, there will be food, entertainment, and fun. Those who attend will also have an opportunity to learn more about making healthy breakfasts, lunches, and other good food choices, and find out information that can help to make going back to school a whole lot less stressful.
To help give the kids the best start possible to this year’s academics, Backpacks will be distributed. This will be done on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, as there will be a limited number of them available, and children who wish to receive one must be accompanied by an adult.
