The City of Roseville and the Roseville Urban Forest Foundation (RUFF) have put out a call to the community seeking helping hands for an activity they will be co-hosting in late February.
People who register for the project will be getting involved in hands-on environmental stewardship by planting native species. These trees and other plants will be installed at Pistachio Park near Bickleigh Loop, and it will be a family-friendly activity.
When they arrive at the location for the session, registrants will check in and take in a demonstration before they roll up their sleeves and get started. All instructions will be provided, and masks, gloves, and tools will be distributed. Light refreshments will be on offer, and everyone is reminded to bring a refillable water container. Once the trees are planted, the volunteers will place mulch and stake the saplings, and the goal is to plant at least 200 native species throughout the winter months.
Getting involved in hands-on environmental advocacy can be a rewarding experience. Waivers and other business Forms, as well as Promotional Products to thank the helpers for their support, can be supplied to an organization by area Print shops.
This day of expanding Roseville's urban tree canopy will run from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 22. Spots can be reserved through its web listing.
