Roseville among stops on locomotive tour

An event is set to take Roseville back to the days when the steam-powered railway was king, and all ages will be welcome.

Known affectionately as “Big Boy No. 4014,” a celebrated locomotive will be pulling into the community for public viewing. The activity is on offer thanks to the efforts of Union Pacific and is part of its “Big Boy Westward Bound” tour.

To help welcome the train, the city will be offering a variety of activities on the Saturday. There will be food trucks rolling in, as well as live music, and the Black Flag Gang will add to the atmosphere by supplying a performance. Children in the crowd can head to the Kids Zone, and there will also be a farmers’ market and a pop-up vendor market.

Along with the rest of the fun, the Old Town Roseville’s Carnegie Museum will be open to the public. There will be specially themed exhibits and an activity for the kids at the venue. A brochure printing company will be pleased to provide a wide range of services to anyone planning special civic or other events of this nature.

Big Boy No. 4014 will be rolling into Roseville on Friday, July 12, and it will remain on site until its departure on Saturday, July 13. The display will be set up along Atlantic Street, and the community's website provides more information.
