Roseville residents are invited to celebrate Earth Day this year by attending the City of Roseville’s 7th Annual Earth Festival. The event will be free and family oriented, and this extends to the bus rides offered by Roseville Transit and bike parking, both of which are also free.
Live entertainment on the main stage will feature Mad Science’s Know H2O Show, Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom, and musical performances will be provided by Woodcreek High School. Food will be offered by several local food vendors (booths out front and trucks out back in the Solar Zone). There will also be more than 80 green vendors and several electric vehicles on display, presented by Sac EV.
For the children, there will be face painting, interactive educational games about the environment, pony rides, and recycling arts and crafts projects. Also, the Martha Riley Community Library will be offering a puppet show, called ‘Three Little Fish and the Big Bad Shark’.
Green businesses and organizations may want to get their banner printing done early in time for the event. Recycling Roseville’s waste will be the focus of the Western Placer WASTE Management Authority booth, so any printed items no longer required after the event will no doubt be sensibly disposed of.
The Earth Festival will be held Saturday, April 26, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Roseville Utility Exploration Center.
