Royer Park in Roseville will be the new location of this year’s Strawberry Festival BerryFest 2020.
The Cranberry Cooking stage will feature cookie dough and cookie decorating demonstrations. Three bands will play at the Strawberry Beer garden and other live performances will be on the Blueberry and Mulberry Community stages.
Guests can paint rocks, enter the strawberry shortcake eating contest and watch the Little Miss Strawberry Pageant. Everyone can test their rope bridge skills at the scout-o-rama and arts and crafts will be found in two villages. Guests can get their pictures taken in the strawberry selfie village. Classic cars will be on display, and moms can relax a little in the moms’ retreat area.
Little ones can enjoy the pony rides and petting zoo, kids’ carnival and comedy, juggling and magic shows on the Huckleberry Stage. The Boysenberry Stage will feature nursery rhymes and storytelling. Fresh strawberry pies will be available to take home.
General tickets will be $12. Kids under six years old will get in free; kids 6 to 12 and adults 60 and older will pay $6; and veterans, active military and uniformed Rainbow Girls, American Legion, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts will get in free.
Towns that hold these kinds of events often have pictures taken that will be used in the following year’s tourists’ brochure printing.
BerryFest 2020 will be May 9 and 10 from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm Mother’s Day Weekend, at 311 Vernon Street #2. As with all events at the moment, be sure to check with the organizers for the latest developments.
