While Santa usually chooses a sleigh, he has been known to travel in everything from a helicopter to an army tank, fire truck, or even a trolley, but he will use a different mode of transport in Dana Point.
This year, the Boat Ride with Santa program will be back at Dana Wharf, and it has been organized by Dana Wharf Whale Watching. Each excursion will take about 20 minutes, and the passengers will be able to interact and take photos with the Big Guy in Red.
The boat rides will be taking place on two days in early December, and there are several timeslots to choose from. This must be done in advance. Tickets are $5 each, and while the younger passengers will be able to meet and talk with Santa, there will be no physical contact. The charity of choice for the activity will be the Soroptimist Club of Capistrano Bay, which works to support girls and women in the community.
