The 29th Annual Dana Point Concours will be held later this month.
According to the Southern California 356 Club, the Dana Point Concours is the group’s best annual 356 event and is held at the best venue. Once again, it will be held at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott. Although it is primarily for the 356 model, the custom of permitting any Porsche to park on the grass with the 356s will once again be followed.
A Tour d’Elegance, which will draw the attention of car enthusiasts throughout the area, will take place at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 19 for any Porsche owner who wishes to participate. With the help of flyer printing services, savvy local restaurant owners and other entrepreneurs will no doubt be tying their advertisements with the event. Later that evening, Stoddard will host a reception from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm for competitors and other Porsche owners at the Marriott.
Starting at 6:00 am the day of the Concours, cars to be judged will be placed into position on the Lantern Bay Park lawn adjacent to the Marriott. At 8:30 am, non-competing Porsches will be invited to join them. Judging starts at 9:00 am, followed by lunch at 11:30 and the awards presentation at 1:00 pm.
Registration is conducted exclusively online and is open only until July 12. Three divisions and nine classes will be judged at the July 20 event.
