The Ocean Institute in Dana Point will raffle off a million-dollar home at noon on November 3 at the Institute.
Only 22,000 tickets will be sold during this 8th annual benefit for the Ocean Institute. Tickets are $150 and purchasers must be over 18 years old. All ticket purchases for the house must be made by Thursday, October 18.
Ticket purchasers also have an opportunity to win in bonus drawings to be held in the months leading up to the grand prize drawing. Single ticket buyers qualify for $76,000 in prizes and buyers of two or more tickets qualify for prizes worth $180,000. Bonus prizes include vehicles, vacations, shopping sprees, and cash. Prize winners need not be present to win.
The nationally-renowned Ocean Institute is visited by more than 123,000 elementary school students and their teachers annually. The students participate in their award-winning programs, where they learn about the ocean, sea-creatures, tall ships, and collect scientific data by studying in labs or taking voyages onto the ocean. For over 30 years, the institute has been offering its educational programs that also include California state standards.
The institute is open to the public from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Admission is $6.50 for ages 13 and older, $4.50 for those aged 3-12 years, and free for kids who are two years old or younger.
