Festival of Whales Parade

On Saturday, March 3, 2012 the Dana Point Annual Festival of Whales Parade will be held at Selva and PCH South to Golden Lantern in Dana Point, California. This parade event starts at approximately 10 am and promises to be a great time for participants and spectators.

The Festival of Whales event is hosted by the City of Dana Point and winds its way from Selva Road to Dana Point’s Golden Lantern, along the Pacific Coast Highway. This year’s parade features giant balloons, floats, marching bands, fun cars, dancers, and much more. This year’s theme is the “Grey Whale” and those wish to place an entry into this year’s parade are asked to design their costumers and floats around the migration of the Grey whale.

There will also be awards presented for the best local entry, the best youth group entry, the best musical entry, and the best spirit entry. This year many groups have already entered their floats and bands, but there is always room for more, so promote your business or group and enter this year’s event. This event is a great family event, so pack up the kids and head down to watch the event unfold. Remember to bring hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen for the children and all alike.

Print shops have no doubt completed the flyer printing and registration form for this event, plus you can now download both of these from the City of Dana Point website.
